Board of Aeronautical Engineering: a brief description

Professional Regulatory Board for Aeronautical Engineering (PRBAeE)

The PRBAeE is established by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1570, also known as the Philippine Aeronautical Engineering Decree. Presently, the Board of Aeronautical Engineering consists of Engr. Ernesto B. Ferreras Jr., as Chairman and Engr. Redentor C. Malia as Member and the other position for Member is vacant.

The PRBAeE regulates the practice of Aeronautical Engineering in the country with the end in view of contributing to nation building by maintaining high standards of professionalism in aviation.

PD No. 1570 was decreed to standardize, supervise, control and regulate the practice of Aeronautical Engineering in the Philippines. Said practice involves the knowledge and science of aeronautical engineering, and constitutes services as planning, designing, analyzing, constructing, assembling, installing, altering or maintaining of aircraft structures, power plants, or accessories through scientific or accepted engineering practice. It also includes teaching of the same in any university, college, institute, or school of learning duly recognized by the Government of the Philippines.
